Waking up to find myself in a stilted tented cabin on the banks of the Zambezi is an experience I will remember forever. The only thing seperating me from Zambia’s wildlife: a mosquito net, some flimsy canvas and wooden pilings lifting us off the banks of the river.
I woke up as the first light of dawn started to colour the sky and 30 minutes later this beautiful sunrise developed – washing the landscape in its golden hue.
We stayed a single night on the Islands of Siankaba in Sambia a coconut laden African Swallow’s flight from Victoria Falls and no place has left such an impression on my soul. After that night we crossed the border into Botswana.
