Hard to Swallow

Not far from where I live is the Grand Union Canal – a 137 mile stretch of water and towpaths which is now a conduit for leisure travel between London and Birmingham. I would often drive to the New Inn where British Water Ways have a free car park, park the car there and walk a mile or two past Whilton Marina and back all the way looking for kingfishers. On this day however there was a family of swallows. The five fledglings sat on a branch waiting for their parents to bring them food and they got very excited when the parents approached as you will see from the video I captured at the same time below.
